    OL Terminal v1.7.2

    NOTE
    OL-Terminal now requires Java 17.

    🤖 AI-Powered Terminal Experience

Expanded AI capabilities within OL Terminal, enabling users to interact with terminal sessions through an integrated AI assistant. The platform now supports multiple AI providers and includes enhanced administration, governance, and debugging controls.

🔌 MCP (Model Context Protocol) Support

Added support for MCP, allowing AI agents and external tools to securely interact with terminal sessions. Authentication can now be performed directly through the OL Hub, simplifying deployment and integration.

🌐 Enhanced RTL/LTR Editing and Hebrew (TN5250) Support

Significant improvements were made to RTL and LTR field handling, with a particular focus on Hebrew TN5250 sessions. This release enhances rendering accuracy, host-driven RTL field detection, cursor positioning, text entry, navigation, editing operations, and field-exit behavior to better align with native host expectations. Paste operations and macro recording have also been improved to correctly preserve character placement across RTL, LTR, and multi-line fields. Together, these changes deliver a more intuitive, consistent, and reliable editing experience for multilingual terminal applications while resolving several edge cases affecting both RTL and LTR field behavior.

    🔐 Enhanced Security and Authentication

Introduced optional Keycloak-based Single Sign-On (SSO) and improved deployment flexibility with support for both standalone and Hub-integrated authentication models.

    ⏱️ Improved Session Management

Enhanced session lifecycle management with separate client-side and server-side timeout controls, improved inactivity handling, and a more seamless sign-off experience for AS/400 (TN5250) users.

    ✨ Improved User Experience

Introduced configurable cursor styles, improved terminal readability through updated default display settings and refined session management dialogs.

    🛠️ Quality and Reliability Improvements

This release includes multiple fixes and improvements across configuration management, version synchronization, AI chat usability, deployment automation, and overall platform stability.
